Backs Coach Peter Wells (c/o 2014)
Email: [email protected] Originally from New Hampshire, I went to high school in Byfield MA (The Governors academy). Played football, wrestling and lacrosse in high school. I started playing rugby freshman year at Tufts. Initially played wing, I moved to the centers sophomore year. Junior / senior year moved to flanker (my favorite position). Senior year I was elected Captain. One of my favorite memories was beating BU on their home field in our first game my senior year. Throughout my time at Tufts we moved from D3 to D2 which was a challenge, but important for the club to grow During my Junior year I spent 6 months studying abroad in London and played for the Queen Mary University of London Rugby Football Club. This was an incredible opportunity, and I learned so much about rugby culture. After Tufts I played 2 seasons with the Mystic River club team, which was another amazing opportunity. The commitment and dedication from the team was great to be a part of. My last couple of seasons were spent with New Haven rugby club in Connecticut. This was more of a social club, but still an excellent group of guys. Super excited to be back at Tufts! |
